Change Strategy

A plan to move from the current state to the future state.

The Change Strategy takes its inputs from the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, the Future State, the Current State and Risk Analysis Results. The Change Strategy is used to create Design Options. The Solution Scope is a component of the Change Strategy.

Details

The Change Strategy contains 5 attributes and 1 operation:

  • Project Name: Identifies the project using the change strategy.

  • Gap Analysis - Is a report on the differences between the current and future states.

  • Enterprise Readiness Assessment - A report on the capability of the business to make the change.

  • Change Strategy – A list of activities and milestones to change from the current state to the future state. This includes, the context of the change, alternative change strategies, justification for why this is the best approach, investment and resources required to work toward the future state, how the enterprise will realize value after the solution is delivered, key stakeholders and states to be transitioned.

  • Transition States and Release Planning - A plan for releasing the future state to the business.

  • The Define Change Strategy task produces the change strategy plan.
